Eh, just look at the tiles. If you scale them down by 50% down without any filters, you get their original size, a 16x16 grid. Now scale them up by 300% without any filter, you get MV size without any issues. Nice sharp edges, retro look, just that every single 'pixel' is 3x3 pixels instead of 2 as it is for Ace.I tried in it Graphicsgale, just resample without the 'smooth' effect by 150%, perfect results, no skills or magic needed;3Yup, that's one of the better solutions, though still some pixels will go wild, dependable on how much detailed the resource is.(Unless there's a magic, that I don't know about =P)Also, the bigger the resource, the less noticeable quality loss is.GIMP also can nicely handle this operation. There is no loss, I have no idea what you are talking about oOThe tiles are 16.16 in orginal, they just were upscaled to double size aka 32, 32/2= 16; 16. 3 =48. The icons are 12.12 in original size, these are the only ones that will make you problems, because 12.3 =/= 32.The chars size don't matter as the Maker can handle any size, just scale them down by 50% (no loss, because there are doule pixels in the beginning) and upscale by 300% and done.

Nothing goes wild, how should it? If it turns out weird, you use the wrong settings or your programm can't handle it.Example with my avatar:Sure, the more you scale it up, the more retro it looks, but that's just how it is. Was made to look retroish.
